ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday urged the world community to play its due role in protecting the basic human rights of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, ending the inhumane military siege, and ensuring the implementation of UN resolutions guaranteeing the right to self-determination.

The party made it clear that no amount of military might or state oppression could crush the Kashmiri spirit for freedom or weaken their resolve for justice. The PTI issued a statement on the occasion of October 27, which is observed as the Kashmir Black Day on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world.

The day was described as one of the darkest days in history, when brutal Indian forces illegally seized IIOJ&K and unleashed an unending reign of oppression on innocent Kashmiris. The PTI has reaffirmed its unwavering and resolute solidarity with its oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters who have courageously withstood India’s brutal tyranny, state-sponsored terrorism, and illegal occupation for over seven decades with unmatched resilience and determination. The party emphasized that it stood in unwavering solidarity with its oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters in Pakistan and across the world. “Our hearts beat with the people of Occupied Kashmir, who continue to sacrifice their lives in the noble struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination,” the statement reads.

The party reaffirmed that, as a nation, Pakistan could never forget the solemn pledge made by its leader and former prime minister Imran Khan who, as the true ambassador of Kashmir, courageously championed the cause at the global stage and fearlessly exposed the real face of the Modi regime before the world. India, the PTI regretted, has consistently trampled upon United Nations resolutions and fundamental human principles by denying Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination. It reiterated its unwavering commitment to continue extending political, diplomatic, and moral support to the valiant people of Kashmir until they break free from the shackles of Indian subjugation and illegal occupation. “We firmly believe that the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will attain their long-denied freedom, and their just struggle will ultimately prevail, InshaAllah,” the party affirmed.
