7,536 students appear in KU entry test for 2026 admissions
The University of Karachi (KU) conducted its entry test for the Morning Programme admissions of the 2026 academic year on Saturday at 11 am across 22 examination centres established in various university departments.
Officials said the entry test covered admissions for 20 departments, including Doctor of Pharmacy (Morning and Evening), BS in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Aviation Technology and Management, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration (BBA), Chemical Engineering (B.E), Commerce, Computer Science (BSCS, BSSE, BS-AI), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Education, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, International Relations, Mass Communication, Public Administration, and Teacher Education (B.Ed Hons).
A. total of 7,769 admission forms were submitted for 1,347 available seats across the 20 departments. Of these, 7,536 candidates appeared for the test. The results would be uploaded to the varsity’s official website and candidates’ portals by October 28, 2025.
On this occasion, KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi visited various examination centers along with Registrar Professor Dr Imran Ahmad Siddiqui, KU Assessment and Testing Service (KUATS) member Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik, In-Charge Directorate of Admissions Professor Dr Saima Akhtar, Dean Faculty of Science Professor Dr Rehana Saeed, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Professor Dr Samina Saeed, Dean Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences Professor Dr Zaeema Israr Mohiuddin, Acting Student Advisor Dr Sarwat Afshan, Acting Controller of Examinations Dr Muhammad Yasir, Campus Security Advisor Dr Salman Zubair, Senior Medical Officer Dr Wafa Altaf, Medical Officer Dr Muhammad Hassan Auj, and other officials.
After visiting different examination rooms with the media team, the vice chancellor expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. He was informed that university transport facilities were made available at all entry gates to assist students and parents. Help desks were set up at various locations across the campus to guide candidates and their guardians, while watch and ward staff were deployed at entry points and faculty buildings. Medical officers and their teams, along with an ambulance, were also present on-site.
Dr Iraqi appreciated the efforts of faculty members, administrative staff, and security personnel for ensuring the successful conduct of the KU admission entry test.
