Parvez Elahi exempted from appearance in land case

RAWALPINDI: The Special Accountability Court of Rawalpindi on Wednesday accepted the application for permanent exemption from appearance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central president and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, who is nominated in the Takht Padi land case.
Elahi appeared in the court of judge Ali Ijaz along with his lawyers Aamir Saeed and Sardar Shahbaz, who filed an application for permanent exemption from appearance of their client in the court on medical grounds. Accepting the application, the court adjourned the hearing of the case until November 12.
