ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Saturday lauded the strengthening of Pakistan–United Kingdom relations and the recent leadership-level engagements between the two countries.

He made these remarks during a meeting with the British High Commissioner, Jane Marriott, who called on him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides discussed key regional and global developments of mutual interest.

A day earlier, Foreign Minister Dar had received a telephone call from the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. The two discussed recent regional and international developments and appreciated the positive momentum in Pakistan–EU relations, marked by frequent high-level exchanges.

They reaffirmed their commitment to continued engagement at bilateral and multilateral levels, including participation in the upcoming Pakistan–EU Strategic Dialogue scheduled to take place in Brussels in November.
