The District Keamari police dismantled a major narcotics network during a targeted operation conducted by the Task Force on Monday, resulting in the arrest of two key suspects, a man and his son from Larkana, and the recovery of a significant quantity of drugs.

According to SDPO SITE Keamari Zain Raza Baloch, the raid was carried out at Bawani Chali on credible intelligence, with the participation of the SHO SITE-A and under the supervision of SSP Keamari, Captain (retd) Faizan Ali.

The arrested suspects were identified as Gul Muneer alias Zahoor Commando, son of Ghulam Hyder, and his son Sabir Ali. During the operation, the police recovered a total of 817 grams of Ice.

SDPO Baloch said both suspects had a history of involvement in drug trafficking and other criminal activities. Muneer had previously been booked in multiple cases, including narcotics and violent offences, registered at various police stations in Larkana and Karachi. His son, Sabir Ali, also faced two prior narcotics-related FIRs at PS Gharilo.

The officer added that the arrests were part of a broader crackdown on the same network. Earlier, on September 17, the Task Force had arrested four members of the same syndicate, including Gul Muneer’s sister, nephew, and two associates, during a raid that led to the recovery of 828 grams of Ice, 126 grams of crystal, and 102 grams of hashish.

During interrogation, the previously arrested suspects confessed to sourcing drugs from Muneer and his associates, which led investigators to Monday’s operation. The police had registered a new FIR against both suspects, while further investigation was underway to trace other members of the network.
