ISLAMABAD: As road closures and heightened security continued across the country, especially in Punjab and Islamabad, the US Embassy has asked American citizens to avoid large gatherings and remain aware of their surroundings.
In an advisory, the US Embassy in Islamabad said it and the US consulates general in Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar were monitoring protest activity across Pakistan.
It said the protests could cause traffic delays and detours due to closed or blocked roads in the vicinity.”The duration of protests is unknown, so we advise US citizens to avoid large gatherings and remain aware of their surroundings,” it said in the advisory.
