7 PTI workers to be indicted on 31st in Oct 4 protest case
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Supra distributed copies of challans to seven accused in the case against Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) workers arrested during the October 4 protest.
The accused will be indicted at the next hearing. During the hearing of the case registered at Tarnol Police Station regarding the October 4 protest, PTI lawyers Sardar Shubhish Khan and others appeared in the court. Copies of challans were distributed to the seven accused. The indictment will be done at the next hearing. The court adjourned the hearing of the case until October 31.
The same court also heard a case against Senator Azam Khan Swati regarding the November 26 protest.
The court extended Azam Swati’s interim bail until November 13. The case against the senator is registered at Margalla Police Station. The court remarked that the bail issue related to the same case is pending in two courts, hence the decision on the bail applications will be announced on November 13.
During the hearing, PTI lawyers Sardar Shubhish Khan, Zahid Bashir Dar and Murtaza Tori appeared in the court. The court adjourned further hearing of the case untill November 13.
