Police identified the torso found in a gunny bag in Gujjar Nullah a day earlier, while two severed human heads were recovered from different areas of the city on Wednesday, raising serious security concerns.

The torso, stuffed in a sack, was discovered on Tuesday in Block L, Arafat Town, North Nazimabad, within the jurisdiction of Taimuria police station. Using a digital identification device, the police identified the victim as 35-year-old Muhammad Yousuf, son of Anzar Khan, originally from Mansehra. Officials said efforts were underway to contact the victim’s family.

A murder case had been registered by the state against unknown suspects under relevant sections of the law. The police reported that the victim had been killed with a sharp-edged weapon, his head severed, and the body dumped into the nullah.

On Wednesday morning, a human head was found in a bag dumped near garbage outside Bukhari Graveyard Masjid in Pehlwan Goth, within the jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station.

Later the same day, another human head was recovered from a bag lying along the Landi Kotal nullah near Hyderi Market, under the jurisdiction of Hyderi police station. The police said both heads were currently unidentifiable. Investigators were examining whether either of the recovered heads belongs to Muhammad Yousuf. DNA testing would be conducted to confirm a match.
