In a continued crackdown on smuggling, Sindh Rangers seized a large quantity of non-custom-paid goods during two intelligence-based operations in Karachi and Hub, officials said on Monday.

According to a spokesperson, the operations were conducted at 100-Foot Road in Yousuf Goth and at the Hub check post. The seized items included tyres and tubes, Chinese salt, auto parts, Iranian fabric, engine oil, milk packs, tile strips, shampoo, betel nuts, and various other food items.

The contraband, transported in four Mazda trucks, was estimated to be worth tens of millions of rupees. The confiscated goods had been handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal action.

Sindh Rangers stated that the anti-smuggling campaign would continue until the practice was completely eradicated. Citizens had been urged to report any information related to smuggling or criminal activities to the nearest Rangers check post, via the Rangers helpline at 1101, or through WhatsApp at 0347-9001111.
