Islamabad : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Islamabad International Airport has offloaded five individuals attempting to travel to Hong Kong on fraudulent documents.

The passengers, who were traveling via Thailand on visit visas, were part of a fraud scheme orchestrated by an agent who had altered their official records.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the group was attempting to travel using altered Nadra records. The passengers were identified as Bushra, Amjad Ali, Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali Khan.

The investigation revealed that the passengers had paid an agent a staggering Rs15 million each for the illicit journey. The agent had fraudulently altered the Nadra records of three of the children to falsely show them as the offspring of female passenger Bushra.

Further scrutiny by the FIA confirmed that while passenger Amjad Ali is the legitimate son of Bushra, while three other individuals -- Alizeh Shaheen, Muhammad Adnan, and Zeeshan Ali -- were not her biological children. This deception was part of a coordinated effort to illegally transport the individuals abroad.

The FIA has initiated legal proceedings against the apprehended individuals and is actively searching for the agent involved in this human trafficking attempt.

The incident highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb illegal travel and human trafficking rackets operating within the country.
