CTD KP hiring officials to fight terrorism
PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is looking to hire senior serving and retired officials from police, civil service, judiciary, intelligence and armed forces who are expert in counter-terrorism, cybercrime and financial crimes against higher salaries.
According to an official, the CTD announced 181 positions in multiple categories under the newly introduced Market-Based Salary (MBS) Policy 2025. They will be paid higher salaries than other government departments and will be on contract. The CTD has sought highly qualified individuals with expertise in counter-terrorism, surveillance, cybercrime, and financial crime investigations.
The department will recruit 63 Terrorism Investigating Officers (MBS III) and another 62 officers in MBS-IV.Also, 11 Terror Financing Investigating Officers (MBS III & IV) and 25 Cyber Terrorism Investigating Officers (MBS III & IV) will be recruited.
There are 26 Surveillance & Intelligence Officers (in both MBS III & IV) will also be hired. The hiring will be carried out under a multi-stage structured evaluation system designed to ensure merit and transparency.
The CTD specified that civil servants, judicial officers, police officers, army officers, and intelligence officers (serving or retired) with a minimum of five-year experience are eligible for MBS-III and MBS-IV posts if they meet eligibility.
Similarly, employees of financial institutions, private organizations, and individuals with at least five years of relevant professional experience are also eligible.The serving officers must provide a no-objection certificate from their parent department.
