KOHAT: Police have solved the blind murder case of seven members of a family in the Regi Shino Khel area of Kohat and arrested the accused, officials said on Wednesday.

District Police Officer (DPO) D. Zahidullah, along with SP Investigation Taj Muhammad, DSP Abdul Hafeez, and SHO City Fayaz Khan, told reporters that the prime suspects, including Sajid, Danish and Shams, residents of Mohammadzai, Kohat, were taken into custody. The police also seized a Kalashnikov rifle and pistols used in the deadly attack, they added.

The tragic incident occurred on August 17 in the Regi Shino Khel area, when nine members of the same family were returning late at night from an outing at Tanda Dam. Armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire, killing seven people on the spot, injuring one, while another miraculously survived.
