Militants’ hideouts destroyed
KOHAT: The hideouts of the militants were destroyed and alleged several facilitators were detained during an ongoing joint grand operation in the mountainous areas of the Kohat region, officials said on Thursday.
According to Regional Police Officer (RPO), Kohat region, Abbas Majeed Marwat, the operation was being carried out in the tribal and hilly areas of Doaba, including Shamsuddin Banda, Shanawari, Zargari and Naryab. The crackdown follows a recent attack on District Police Officer (DPO), Hangu, Khalid Khan.
Speaking to the media during his visit to various operational zones, including the active war zone in Doaba, RPO Marwat said several facilitators of militants have been apprehended and shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation.
