2 wanted criminals killed in Kohat encounter

KOHAT: Two wanted outlaws were killed in an encounter with police at the Muslimabad checkpost on Indus Highway here on Saturday.
Regional Police Officer (RPO), Kohat Region, Abbas Majeed Marwat said an intense exchange of fire took place between police and the suspects, who were wanted for their involvement in serious crimes and for facilitating terrorists. The suspects opened fire on the Muslimabad police checkpost, prompting a swift response, he said adding, upon receiving information, District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Dr Zaidullah reached the scene along with a heavy police contingent. In the retaliatory fire, he said, both the suspects, Shahzaib and Khan Muhammad, were killed.
