Hideouts destroyed in Kohat operation
KOHAT: The police and other law enforcement agencies jointly conducted a search and strike operation in the remote mountainous areas in the jurisdiction of Lachi Police Station in Kohat on Monday, targeting terrorists, proclaimed offenders, and other wanted criminals.
The operation was launched on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Abbas Majeed Marwat as part of an ongoing crackdown to root out criminal and militant elements from the region.
Led by DSP Lachi Sajjad Hussain, the personnel from Lachi Police Station, the Elite Force, District Security Branch, and district police took part in the action. The law enforcers conducted a thorough sweep of the difficult and inaccessible terrain surrounding the Lachi area.
During the operation, several hideouts established by terrorists were located and destroyed by setting them ablaze, officials said.District Police Officer Kohat Zahidullah stated that such operations would continue regularly to ensure peace and stability in the region. He said these efforts were being made to curb the activities of lawbreakers and reaffirmed the police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens at all costs.
