2 martyred soldiers laid to rest in Kohat
KOHAT: Two martyred soldiers were laid to rest with full state honours in their native village of Surgul here on Thursday. Muhammad Rashid and Muhammad Naseem had embraced martyrdom during a security operation in Lakki Marwat district.
Thousands of people, Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah, Regional Police Officer Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Akram, officers from the Pakistan Army and security forces, as well as relatives, local elders, attended the funeral prayers.
After the funeral, floral wreaths were laid on the graves by Commissioner Motasim Billah Shah and RPO Abbas Majeed Marwat who paid tribute to the martyrs’ sacrifice. They emphasized that the soldiers’ sacrifices for the country would not be forgotten and would always be remembered with pride.
