CHARSADDA: The district administration on Friday organised a mock rescue exercise in the Kabul River.
Officials said the activity was aimed at enhancing the readiness for potential emergency situations such as floods and river-related incidents. The demonstration involved Rescue 1122 teams who performed diving operations, victim retrieval, emergency swimming, and on-site first aid. The exercise was closely monitored by Deputy Commissioner Qaiser Khan, Assistant Commissioner Riaz Ahmad, and District Emergency Officer Jawad Khan.
The drill showcased the swift response capabilities of emergency services and tested their coordination in handling rescue scenarios.
