Large-scale postings in bureaucracy after promotions

ISLAMABAD: As many as 111 officers have been promoted in different grades and the Establishment Division has notified those.

As many as 12 officers of Grade-20 of Pakistan Administrative Service have been promoted to Grade-21, 49 to Grade-20, 17 PSP officers have been promoted to Grade-21, while 33 to Grade-20. The Establishment Division, after the approval of prime minister, has issued notifications of the promotions of 111 officers.

Most of the promoted officers have been posted and transferred according to the new grades. The recommendations for promotions of these officers to Grade-20 and 21 were made by the Central Selection Board (CSB) in a meeting held from March 11 to 14 this year under chairmanship of the chairman FPSC.

Saad Akhtar of Police Service of Pakistan has been promoted to Grade-21 and will continue his service in the National Highways and Motorway Police. Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in FIA. Muhammad Tariq Chohan, promoted to Grade-21 will continue his service in Punjab government; Khurram Shakoor of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Punjab government; Prince Sultan, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Punjab government; DG NAB Rawalpindi Waqar Ahmed Chohan, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service as DG NAB Rawalpindi; Wasim Ahmed Khan, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Punjab government; Zulfiqar Lark of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Sindh government; Sharjeel Karim Kharal, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Sindh government, Shakeel Ahmed Durrani, posted in the FIA and promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Sindh government; Iqbal Dara of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his services in Sindh government; Khurram Ali of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his services in Punjab government. Muhammad Jafar Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his services in FIA, while Azad Khan of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, has been transferred from IB to Balochistan government.

Muhammad Tahir of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, has been transferred from FIA to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government; Abbas Ahsan of Police Service, promoted to Grade-21, has been transferred from FIA to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. Humayun Bashir Tarar, awaiting appointment in Establishment Division, promoted to Grade-21, has been transferred to Punjab government.

Twelve officers of Pakistan Administrative Service have been promoted to Grade- 21. Muhammad Nawaz, posted in Sindh government, has been transferred; Naseem, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service in Sindh government; Zafar Iqbal, Director General, Federal Government Housing Authority, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service as Director General; promoted officer Azmat Mahmood Khan will continue his service in Punjab government; Aamir Jan, Executive Director, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, promoted to Grade- 21, will continue his service as ED; Saulat Saqib, promoted to Grade-21, wlll continue his service in Punjab government.

Islam Zeb, Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Azad Kashmir, promoted to Grad-21 will continue his service as Secretary; Additional Secretary, Religious Affairs Division Dr Sajid Mahmood Chohan, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his service; Minister Trade and Investment, Pakistan Embassy, Washington Muhammad Hanif Channa, promoted to Grade-21, will continue his services there Asif Ikram, promoted to Grade-21, will and continues his services in Sindh government; Dr Saif-ur-Rehman, promoted to Grade-21, has been directed to continue his services in National School of Public Policy.

Joint Secretary Finance Division Noorin Bashir, promoted to Grade-21, has been appointed Additional Secretary Finance Division and Joint Secretary Home Division Humayun Khan has been appointed Additional Secretary Power Division.

Thirty-three officers of Police Service of Pakistan have been promoted to Grade-20. Muhammad Fawaduddin Riaz Qureshi of Police Service has been transferred from IB to Punjab government; Muhammad Ali Neko Kara has been transferred from IB to Punjab government, Imran Shaukat has been transferred from Sindh to Balochistan government; Junaid Ahmed has been transferred from Sindh to Balochistan.

Hassan Asad Alvi has been transferred from IB to Balochistan government; Muhammad Haroon Joyia from FIA to Islamabad Police and promoted Imran Shahid from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to National Police.
