RAWALPINDI: A special court has recorded the statement of another prosecution witness in the Toshakhana-II case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, while the accused’s lawyers also completed the cross-examination of the witness.
On Saturday, Imran and Bushra Bibi were present in the courtroom during the hearing. NAB Assistant Director Aftab Ahmed testified as a witness, while Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Arshad Tabrez, conducted the cross-examination. The PTI founder’s counsel, Qausain Mufti, will cross-examine the witness at the next hearing.
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand summoned two additional witnesses, Rabia and Sana, to record their statements in the upcoming session.
On this occasion, Imran stated that his sons were allowed to talk on the phone, adding that he had spoken to the children for over an hour. He also mentioned receiving newspapers and having access to a functioning TV.
