Infiltration bid foiled, 30 terrorists killed
RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 30 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.
On the nights of Wednesday and Thursday, movement of a large group of Khwarij, belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was detected by the security forces in general area Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district. The troops effectively engaged and thwarted Indian sponsored Khawarij’s attempt to infiltrate, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.
As a result of precise and skillful engagement, all 30 Indian sponsored khawarij were killed. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the killed Indian sponsored Khawarij. The security forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism, vigilance and preparedness, and prevented a potential catastrophe. The interim Afghan government also needs to check and prevent the use of Afghan soil by “foreign proxies” for orchestrating terrorist activities against Pakistan. The security forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers and to eradicate the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating 30 Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists while attempting to infiltrate through the Pak-Afghan border in Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan.
