TIMERGARA: The parents in Lower Dir on Saturday demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to announce summer vacations for schools in plain areas of the district keeping in view the scorching heat.

Talking to reporters here, a group of elders expressed concern over the situation.“Heatwave in Timergara and its suburban areas is the same as that of other plain areas in the province but the government is blindly following the decades old policy of announcing two-months summer vacations in plane areas and one-month summer vacations in mountainous areas,” said one of the elders.
