Muzzamil claimed that KP would present its case about net hydel profit share and arrears in upcoming CCI meeting
PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam on Saturday said the province received about Rs90 billion less than its share in the National Finance Award during the current fiscal year, adding that the next NFC Award to be announced in August this year.
During his post-budget press conference, he said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led government reflected a record Rs547 billion for the Annual Development Programme (ADP). He claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would present its case about net hydel profit share and arrears in the upcoming Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting scheduled for June. He said the federal government never paid full share to the province but last time had paid Rs70 billion under the head of arrears, adding that Rs3 billion received on monthly basis on account of net hydel profit. The finance adviser said that like the federal government, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also announced a 10 percent increase in the salary of government servants while 7 percent in the pension of retired servants.
