RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed three terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, so called Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), in two separate engagements in Balochistan.
An intelligence based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in general area Gishkur, Awaran District, on reported presence of Indian-sponsored terrorists, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During the conduct of operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, Indian-sponsored terrorist Younas was killed, while two Indian-sponsored terrorists got injured.
In another engagement in Turbat City, Kech District, security forces successfully neutralised two Indian-sponsored terrorists -- terrorist ring leader Sabr Ullah and terrorist Amjad alias Bichoo.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed Indian-sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in multiple terrorists activities against the law enforcement agencies as well as target killing of innocent civilians. Sensitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any terrorist present in the area, as security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts by Indian proxies at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, the ISPR statement said.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to security forces for eliminating the three terrorists in Balochistan. He appreciated the security forces for killing three terrorists of Indian proxy during the IBOs.
He said security forces would continue their operations till complete eradication of terrorists. He said it was matter of satisfaction that the security forces of Pakistan undertook successful operations for ending terrorism.
Pakistan had an unwavering determination for killing terrorist elements and defending the country, he added. He expressed the national resolve to completely wipe out terrorism from the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to security forces for killing three and arresting two injured terrorists of Indian-sponsored BLF. He commended the security forces for their professional expertise and for taking timely action against Indian agenda.
The Indian conspiracy of putting in danger the life and property of innocent and unarmed citizens in Balochistan by perpetrating terrorism had been exposed, he added. He said, “We will foil the nefarious designs of India to undermine peace and security in Pakistan.” The government and security forces were determined to completely end terrorism from the country, he added.
