National Stadium in good shape for PSL 2025 matches
KARACHI: The preparations and the arrangements at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 matches are now in the final stages.
The stadium’s management informed this scribe that the stadium is in good shape having recently hosted three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. All things related to the arrangement and management adopted during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, last month would be continued in the PSL matches here at National Stadium.
In this year’s PSL, Karachi will host five matches – which will be the Karachi Kings home games. The tenth edition of the PSL is set to kick-off from April 11, and Karachi will host its first game on the next day April 12, where Karachi Kings will lock horns with Multan Sultans.
Sources said that Karachi Kings will start its practice session from Monday at the Oval Cricket ground adjacent to the National Stadium. It may be noted that the floodlights have also been installed at the Oval Cricket ground here keeping in mind the importance of night cricket matches and practices sessions for domestic and international cricket to reduce the burden of National cricket stadium.
The tickets for the PSL have already gone on sale from April 3, while physical tickets will be available on TCS Express Centers across the country from April 7 (today).
Physical tickets will go on sale at designated TCS express centers from April 7 onwards. Tickets booked online can also be collected from TCS designated pick-up centers or can be home-delivered by TCS. All participating teams who will play matches here at National Stadium will do their net practice session at Oval Cricket ground in the evening and night sessions.
