Maulana Abdul Haq Sani chosen to lead JUI-S
Meeting appoint Sheikhul Hadith Mufti Habibur Rahman Darkhwasti as patron-in-chief and Maulana Khuzaima Sami as central information secretary
NOWSHERA: Maulana Abdul Haq Sani, the son of late Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani, was chosen as central amir of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami at a meeting of the central council of party at Jamia Darul Uloom Haqqania, Akora Khattak, on Sunday.
The leadership position became vacant following the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani in a recent suicide bombing at the at the Jamia Darul Uloom Haqqania. With mutual consensus by the party top brass, Maulana Abdul Haq Sani was appointed as the central chief of JUIS. The representatives from all the four provinces announced their support for the decision.
The meeting also appointed Sheikhul Hadith Mufti Habibur Rahman Darkhwasti as patron-in-chief and Maulana Khuzaima Sami as the central information secretary.
During the meeting, fateha was also offered for Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani Shaheed and a demand was made for the immediate arrest of his assassins. The silence of both central and provincial governments, as well as institutions, regarding his martyrdom was questioned.

The recent bombing targeting Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Waziristan’s head Maulana Abdullah Nadeem in Wana, and the martyrdom of renowned religious scholar Mufti Muhammad Munir Shakir in Peshawar were declared tragic incidents.
The government and institutions were urged not to consider scholars as adversaries but to ensure their protection.
The meeting also strongly condemned the increasing inflation, frequent gas and electricity loadshedding, and other economic hardships faced by the people.
Later, central secretary general Maulana Syed Muhammad Yousaf Shah and Maulana Abdul Haq Sani assured the meeting that they would continue the mission of their martyred leaders, Maulana Samiul Haq Shaheed and Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani Shaheed and that their sacred sacrifices would not go in vain.
