First pelican signal to be installed at Faisal Chowk
LAHORE:Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (Tepa) has finalised its preparations to install first pelican signal in the provincial metropolis.
In this regard, Chief Engineer Tepa Iqrar Hussain said the first pelican signal in the provincial capital will be installed at Faisal Chowk on Mall Road at the end of this month. He said the modern pelican signal will be of international standards and will be installed as a pilot project. Iqrar Hussain added that a digital system of attractive lights will also be installed along with the pelican signal. The installation of the pelican signal will facilitate traffic flow as well as pedestrians, he maintained. Meanwhile, LDA DG Tahir Farooq also visited Faisal Chowk on Mall Road here on Wednesday and reviewed the proposed site for the installation of the first pelican signal by Tepa.
