Pakistan-India match generates record ticket revenue in Dubai
Marquee event, scheduled for February 23, sees unprecedented demand despite premium pricing
DUBAI: The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has not only shattered revenue records with an estimated AED 45.6 million (PKR3.47 billion) in ticket sales but, together with other ICC Champions Trophy matches in Dubai, has propelled the total ticket revenue to a staggering AED88.55 million (PKR 6.73 billion).
With ticket prices ranging from AED500 (PKR38,013) to AED 12,500 (PKR 950,325), all 25,000 seats were sold out, showing the unmatched excitement surrounding cricket’s fiercest rivalry.
The marquee event, scheduled for February 23, saw unprecedented demand despite premium pricing. General Admission tickets were priced at AED500 (PKR38,013), while luxury options like The Grand Lounge reached AED5,000 (PKR380,130), and packages soared to AED12,500 (PKR950,325).
With an average ticket price of AED1,825 (PKR138,780), the India-Pakistan clash alone is projected to generate PKR3.47 billion in revenue, making it one of the most profitable matches in cricket history.
Other ICC matches in Dubai: revenue highlights
The India vs Bangladesh match on February 20 and the India vs New Zealand match on March 2 have also seen robust ticket sales.
India vs Bangladesh (February 20): Tickets ranged from AED250 (PKR19,006) to AED2,000 (PKR152,052), with an average ticket price of AED708.33 (PKR53,864). The match is expected to bring in AED17.7 million (PKR 1.35 billion).
India vs New Zealand (March 2): Ticket prices were between AED300 (PKR22,808) and AED2,500 (PKR190,065), with an average price of AED850 (PKR64,361). Estimated revenue is AED 21.25 million (PKR 1.62 billion).

North, East, and West Stands: Combined capacity of 20,000.
Premium Gallery: 3,500 seats.
Platinum Gallery: 406 deluxe seating arrangements.

Hotels, airlines, and local businesses have reported increased demand, with airfares and hotel rates surging by up to 50 per cent. Premium hospitality venues in Dubai are offering exclusive match-day experiences, further boosting revenue streams.
With a standard seating capacity of 25,000, expandable to 30,000, the venue has become a hub for cricket fans eager to witness high-profile matches.
