Podcast studio inaugurated at UoM
TIMERGARA: Secretary higher education department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kamran Ahmad Afridi on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art podcast studio at the department of Journalism and Mass Communication University of Malakand (UoM).
UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr.Rashid Ahmad, deans of faculties and heads of departments of various departments were also present on this occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest expressed his commitment to promoting quality education in the province and highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the department to uplift the education sector.
He lauded the University of Malakand’s dedication to academic excellence and appreciated the varsity administration for strengthening the institution’s educational standards.Kamaran Afridi appreciated the faculty, particularly Dr Sajjad Ali, assistant professor of Journalism and Mass Communication UoM, for his instrumental role in establishing the podcast studio.
He recognized the significance of this initiative in enhancing practical learning opportunities for students and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices.
In his speech, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rashid Ahmad underscored the importance of such initiatives in equipping students with advanced media skills. He reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering an innovative learning environment that aligns with contemporary trends.The initiative was expected to provide students with hands-on experience in digital content creation, podcasting, and media production, he added.
