5 Khwarij including ringleader killed in DI Khan IBO
Security forces conducted an IBO on reported presence of Khwarij in Maddi area of D I Khan on Friday, says ISPR
RAWALPINDI/QUETTA: Security forces killed five Khwarij, including Kharji ringleader Shafiullah alias Shafi in an Intelligence Based Operation (BO) in Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan.
According to ISPR, the security forces conducted an IBO on the reported presence of Khwarij in Maddi area of D I Khan on Friday.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, as well as the target killing of innocent civilians.
A sensitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR in a statement said.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for killing five Khwarij in Dera Ismail Khan district.
In their separate statements, they reiterated their resolve to completely eliminate the Fitna Al-Khwarij from the country.
The president and the prime minister said the entire nation is standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in the war against terrorism.
