New students’ council sworn in

Islamabad: A student council is instrumental in providing encouragement to the future leaders studying in educational institutions .It works actively with the teachers and the students for the fulfilment of the curricular and co-curricular objectives of the institution.

The elections to choose the Student Council of Islamabad model college for girls IMCG F7/2 for the academic year 2024-25 were held and all officials of council were elected by democratic process. A solemn and dignified Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected Executive members of the Council and the Class Representatives was held in the College Auditorium. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Najeeba Arif, Chairperson, Pakistan Academy of Letters. She is the first woman to head the Pakistan Academy of Letters. Principal Prof Fouzia Tanveer Sheikh presided the ceremony. The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Translation by Ayesha Arshad followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool by Faiza Naseer. The host of the ceremony, Syeda Fizza Batool, welcomed the honourable Chief Guest on the stage.
