Private schools body demands release of principal
BARA: The Private Schools Association (PSA) in Bara has demanded the release of a principal alleging that fake cases were lodged against him.
Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, PSA President Gul Wali Afridi, Shaikh Gul Afridi, Muhammad Rafiq and others said that the police had registered fake cases against Khan Wali Afridi who was the principal of Iqra School and College of Bara.
They said that Khan Wali Afridi was the head of an educational institution and his arrest was bound to affect the students.“Khan Wali Afridi is not alone. A strong organization of 80 schools and thousands of students stand by him,” Gul Wali said.
He said other private school associations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including those from Jamrud and Landikotal, would decide the future course of action if the arrested principal was not released. Meanwhile, the teachers and students of the various schools protested outside of the Bara Press Club to demand the release Khan Wali Afridi.
