Two dead in Serbia home for homeless people fire

BELGRADE: Two people died and one person was seriously injured on Sunday in a fire that broke out in a home for homeless persons in Serbia, the RTS state-run television reported.

Firefighters evacuated 23 people from the home in the village of Vojka, near the northern town of Stara Pazova.

According to RTS, the two victims were women while the person seriously injured was a man in his 60s who was hospitalised in the capital Belgrade. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
