ISLAMABAD: In the Cabinet Division, it has been revealed that a female microfilming officer of Grade-17 was harassed by a male officer.
In the inquiry, the complaint of harassment against the officer concerned was proved. Joint Secretary Admin Rana Manzoor Ahmed held the inquiry.
The female officer had complained that her officer-in-charge, a deputy director in the technical wing, had been harassing her. She said that she was monitored by cameras and her performance reports (PERS) were deliberately delayed and his behavior was indecent with her.
In the inquiry, some of the complaints made against the officer concerned were proved. Cabinet Division Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal approved the disciplinary action against the official in the light of the inquiry report, suspending his annual increment for five years under Section 2(h) (11) of the Women Protection Act Against Harassment at Work Plus Act of 2010.
