Suspect lynched to death found involved in killing two cops
Police added that Khan had 10 cases registered against him, while Saleh had two cases
One of the two suspected robbers, who were lynched to death by a mob in Ganna Market in the Sohrab Goth area on February 1, was allegedly involved in killing two policemen, investigators said on Friday.
Two suspects, Samandar Khan and Saleh, were caught by a crowd after they, along with their four absconding accomplices, killed a man and wounded another over resisting a mugging bid. Both suspects were later died from a beating by the crowd.
According to police, Khan in collusion with another suspect, who was killed in a separate incident previously, had murdered two policemen in Sohrab Goth in June 2023.
Police added that Khan had 10 cases registered against him, while Saleh had two cases. Another case has been lodged against the deceased suspects and their absconding accomplices.
