Siraj urges people to reject dynastic politics
MARDAN: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday said that the people should defeat the op portunists and vote for his party to pave the way for the enforcement of Islamic system.
Addressing a gathering in connection with Khatam e-Bukhari Sharif at Madrassa Tafheemul Quran, here, he said if voted to power, the JI would abolish interest-based system. “We will introduce re forms in the bureaucracy,” he promised. He said that some political parties con sidered the country their personal fiefdom and were dreaming of becoming the prime minister. He said that those who served as prime minister three times were again look ing to grab the coveted posi tion. He said that such politi cians were least bothered about the uplift of the coun try and the wellbeing of its people. The JI leader said that they were making false promises to deceive the peo ple. “Nawaz Sharif wants to sit in the Prime Minister’s House for the fourth time. The PML-N has been in power for decades. The Pak istan People’s Party has been ruling Sindh for 15 years,” he remarked. He said that the two par ties should tell the nation about their performance de spite being in power for so long.
