May 9 incident: Search for PTI leaders, workers going on, says DIG
LAHORE: DIG Investigation Lahore Imran Kishwar has said that a search is going on for 336 accused of the May 9 incident and PTI leaders and workers were among the accused persons.
Speaking at a press conference on the performance of Investigation Wing on Saturday, Imran Kishwar said that according to the law, the process of confiscating properties of accused has been started.
He said that PTI workers and leaders are among the proclaimed offenders as 14 FIRs of May 9 incidents were registered.
The police have been arresting leaders from the Election Commission Office during the submission of nomination papers. ROs are also reportedly intimating the police about the presence of PTI leaders so they could be arrested.
Imran Kishwar further said that joint investigation of former chief justice Saqib Nisar’s house attack was also going on. Several teams are investigating the case. It is too early to say anything.
