FIR of attack on ex-CJP house registered
LAHORE: A case of an alleged hand grenade attack on former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar’s house has been registered in Lahore’s CTD Police Station.
Serious provisions including terrorism and interference in government affairs have been included on behalf of CTD retired constable Sajjad Hussain.
According to the text of the FIR, unknown suspects threw a grenade in the garage of the house, which affected two vehicles and broke the windowpanes of the house, while three people, including two policemen, were injured. Injured police personnel were identified as Muhammad Amir and Khurram Shahzad. Authorities swiftly responded to the scene by cordoning off the area. The CTD officials said that the investigation has been launched with collection of the evidence from the crime scene. It is suspected that some ‘banned outfit’ is involved in the incident as efforts are underway to identify the assailants with the help of closed-circuit footage.
