Amir Warraich elected KBA president, Ikhtiar Channa secretary

A large number of lawyers participated in the elections of the Karachi Bar Association (KBA) on Saturday.
According to unofficial results that came out on Saturday night, Aamir Nawaz Warraich and Ikhtiar Channa were elected as the president and general secretary of the KBA respectively in the 2023-24 annual elections of the bar association.
Nasarullah Jalbani was elected the vice president of the bar and Jahanzaib Marri the joint secretary. Raheel Samsam was elected as the treasurer.
Azizullah Meerani secured the highest votes for the librarian post.
Around 4,500 lawyers exercised their right to elect the 17-member body of the KBA comprising six office-bearers and 11 members of the managing committee.
