Efforts on to upgrade govt colleges: minister
PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said on Saturday that provincial government was taking steps to upgrade the standard of government colleges into model colleges.
He was speaking as chief guest at the convocation of Government Postgraduate College Abbottabd, said a handout.
“Students have to be an important part of the nation building process through their capabilities that they have acquired in their institution,” he added.
He said that educational system was being reformed so that the children of common man could also achieve various opportunities in society.
He said that during his recent visit to Austria, he had agreed to link Haripur University with five best universities of Austria. Mushtaq Ghani congratulated the students and said that hopefully the college would continue with its pursuit of uplifting the standards of education.
