Fish marks the arrival of the winter season. Eating fish not only gives your body warmth but also the nutrients that enables your body to fight off ailments. Keeping this in mind, this week You! features a yummy fish recipe of the amazing Dhaka fried fish!



Boneless fish (2 inch pieces) ½ kg

Ginger garlic paste ½ tbsp

Lemon juice 2 tbsp

Red chilli (crushed) ½ tbsp

Cumin seeds (roasted & crushed) 1 tsp

Salt 1 tsp or to taste

Paprika powder 1 tsp

Egg (whisked) 1

All-purpose flour 4-5 tbsp

Corn flour 3-4 tbsp

Chicken powder 1 tsp

Sesame seeds (roasted) 2-3 tbsp

Vinegar 1 tbsp

Cooking oil for frying


  • In a bowl, add fish, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, red chilli crushed, cumin seeds, salt, paprika powder and mix well.
  • Cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Add egg, all-purpose flour, corn flour, chicken powder, sesame seeds, vinegar and mix well.
  • On each fish piece, sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • In a wok, heat cooking oil and fry on low flame until golden brown.
  • Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
