But it is beauty endorsements that get a bulk of the attention. Because let’s face it: who doesn’t want to look like their favourite celeb?

Whether they’re on screen or lending their names or faces to a lipstick, anti-aging cream or a shampoo, stars can be powerful selling tools. And, when it comes to our own celebrities, they are no less than any international star in terms of charisma and appeal. So no wonder, they have been signed by international beauty brands. She has got the looks

In 2016, Maybelline New York announced one of Pakistan’s most popularly watched and recognised actors, Ayesha Omar, as their celebrity spokesperson in Pakistan. Ayesha Omar has been featured in Maybelline New York’s major brand campaigns held in 2016 and 2017 in Pakistan.

“I am absolutely delighted to be the spokesperson for such an iconic international brand. Maybelline New York has always stood out to me for its bold, fun and sassy identity. To be part of a brand which counts the likes of Christy Turlington, Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima and Jourdan Dunn as its spokespeople, is such an honour” says Ayesha Omar.

In February 2018, Omar went to attend New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and the series of high profile runway shows associated with it. This was the first time that a celebrity from Pakistan had been invited to attend NYFW as part of the Maybelline New York global family.

“To represent Maybelline New York Pakistan at THE biggest fashion and beauty event in the world’s calendar was truly fantastic. The buzz, excitement, trends, looks: New York Fashion Week had it all. I was excited to take the best of Pakistan to New York and to bring back the best of New York to Pakistan with Maybelline,” mentions Omar in one of her interviews after the event.

Indeed, Ayesha Omar is sought after for her immensely popular work across television, film and celebrity modelling. She is also an accomplished singer with album releases. Last year, she dazzled the viewers with her stylish appearance at ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’ as a host. More power to you, Omar!

The new face of L’Oreal

Mahira Khan is definitely on a roll. While she continues to spread her charm as the beautiful Lux girl every year, the actor has another feather in her cap aside from acting projects and multiple ad campaigns. She has been announced Pakistan’s first Brand Ambassador of L’Oreal Paris and this was revealed on the final day of the 2017 PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week in Lahore.

“I am proud and honoured to be the first Pakistani Brand Ambassador for L’Oreal. The brand celebrates women empowerment and it goes beyond beauty. Let nobody’s opinion define who you are because all the women out there, including me, are worth it!” tells Mahira.

With her newest distinction, Mahira joins the ranks of Bollywood actresses, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Also, international stars such as Naomi Watts, Helen Mirren Freida Pinto and Eva Longoria who have represented the brand by lending their faces.

The wonder woman

Muniba Mazari is a Pakistani artist, model, activist, motivational speaker, singer, and television host. She uses a wheelchair due to injuries sustained in a car accident at the age of 21, which makes her Pakistan’s first wheelchair-using model. She is also the National Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan. But a few people know that this charming woman has been the face of several international brands as well. Mazari is the Brand Ambassador for Ponds and Body Shop Pakistan. This is not it, as the wonder woman is also the first wheelchair bound model for Toni&Guy.

As the National Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan, she has participated as a motivational speaker at various conferences and forums, her first break being TEDx Islamabad. She was one of the two Pakistanis to be named BBCs 100 most inspirational women in 2015, and works as an occasional anchor at PTV, being their first wheelchair-using anchor. Additionally, Muniba Mazari was also featured in ‘Forbes 30 under 30’ in 2016.

Fresh as ever

When it comes to entertainment industry in Pakistan, Juggan Kazim is one such name that has been associated with the silver screen for a long time now. The model-turned-actress has worked in a number of TV commercials and drama serials. Dramas like ‘Saiqa’, ‘Vasl’, ‘Pani Jesa Pyar’ among others are some of her works which garnered much public attention for her.

In March 2010, Kazim was named as the Brand Ambassador for Garnier Hair and Skin-care products in Pakistan. The brand comes under the banner of L’Oreal and has been catering to many young girls and women for years. It’s been 8 wonderful years now, and the long term relationship with Garnier has amassed a huge popularity for Kazim and maintained the product image in the hearts of people.
