Awell-known model-turned-actor Saima Azhar has been in the world of glitz and glamour since 2011. She was introduced to modelling by none other than Frieha Altaf at a beauty pageant, where she was crowned Miss Photogenic Pakistan. She was awarded Lux Style Award for ‘Best Talent of the Year’ in 2013. Saima began her acting career in 2014 with the drama serial ‘Mere Khwab Lota Do’. She received her acting training and skills from Actor’s Prepare School by Anupam Kher in Mumbai, India and from Vagabond School of the Arts by Michael McCracken in Chicago, United States.

She also made her film debut with action thriller Pakistani film ‘Raasta’ in 2017. A few years back Saima moved to USA. Now, after a five-year hiatus, Saima has rejoined the entertainment industry. These days she is busy with fashion campaigns, choreographing high-energy shows, hosting events, and pursuing art direction and acting. Directing Rohit Verma’s dazzling fashion show in 2024.

Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Maison Margiela.

* What do you usually wear in daily life?

Effortless and chic faux leather jackets, tailored pants, crisp white shirts, jeans, and striped t-shirts for a casual vibe.

* What is your favourite thing in your closet right now?

My Victoria Beckham t-shirt, a statement Stella McCartney hat, my gold Halston dress from my birthday, and the timeless Norma Kamali four-sleeve dress.

* What is one cosmetic you cannot do without?

I swear by Charlotte Tilbury’s magic touch and Rare Beauty’s effortless glow.

* Your most valuable possession?

My family - they are the anchor and essence of my life.

* What is the best buy you’ve ever made?

My iPhone 15.

* What is the worst purchase that you regretted later?

Overbearing high heels that I thought I’d love but can’t stand to wear.

* What’s an annoying habit of yours?

Perfectionism - it’s both a blessing and a curse.

* What bores you the most?

Repetitive conversations.

* You are crazy about…

Feeding birds, it brings me peace. Also, creating Instagram reels with tech-savvy edits.

* What’s your favourite hangout place?

Soho House, Chicago.

* Your all-time favourite movie?

‘Joker’, a cinematic masterpiece that’s both raw and powerful.

* Your beauty regimen?

I keep my skin hydrated and always wear sunscreen when I go out.

* Song that always gets you on the dance floor?

‘Levitating’ by Dua Lipa is the song that gets me on the dance floor with its infectious beat and high-energy vibe, making it impossible not to move.

* What’s the last thing you bought?

My first pay cheque was given to me by Saba Ansari (of Sabs salon) for a bridal shoot in 2011.

* You are extremely possessive about…

I fiercely guard my creative vision, ensuring it remains authentic and uncompromised, as it reflects who I am as an artist. My legacy is equally important, as it defines my place in history and the impact I leave behind. Lastly, I value my time deeply, choosing carefully how and with whom I spend it, as it’s the one thing I can never get back.

* How do you unwind?

A warm coffee, peaceful music and reflecting on life’s beauty.

* If you had access to a time machine, which era would you revisit?

Ancient Greece and Rome to witness the unparalleled artistry, culture, and timeless beauty of these civilisations.

* The most important relationship lesson you have learned so far…

Trust and communication are the foundation of every strong relationship.

* Something very few people know about you as a person…

I have a deep curiosity for underwater species and their mesmerising beauty. Few also know how deeply giving and humble I am. Once someone enters my inner circle, they’re there to stay - unless I feel unreciprocated or used, then I gracefully walk away.
