The expansion of women’s organisations globally is transforming lives and communities by deepening their impact and reach. These organisations are empowering local women leaders who understand cultural contexts, ensuring initiatives are effective and sustainable. Their advocacy efforts at local, national, and international levels comprehensive support encompassing economic empowerment, health, legal rights, and personal development.

Cultural and media initiatives challenge stereotypes and promote gender equality. This expansion is a powerful force for global change, creating meaningful opportunities for women to thrive by diversifying programs, leveraging technology, and building strategic partnerships.

To push this cause, LadiesFund was inaugurated in Multan with a distinguished gathering of prominent women from Southern Punjab, which was hosted by SOS Multan founder Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh at SOS Children’s Village Multan.

The inaugural members included Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh, Rahat Bano Multanikar T.I, Dr Shafqat Abdullah Samtia, Saima Faisal, Filza Mumtaz, Anam Tajjamul, Sarah Danish, Dr Mehnaz Khakwani, and Muneeza Manzoor Butt.

“As a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment in Pakistan, I warmly welcome the establishment of this chapter in Multan,” stated Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh. “Women in South Punjab are breaking barriers and making significant strides. The Multan chapter will highlight these achievements, amplify their voices, and nurture a culture of recognition and appreciation.”

“It is a true honour to be selected as one of the most dynamic and trailblazing women of Multan,” said Rahat Bano Multanikar, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz honouree, musician, and board member of Multan Electric Supply Company. “The dialogue and networking were valuable, and I look forward to seeing this project flourish in Southern Punjab.”

“I am delighted to be part of this in Multan and express my gratitude for the donation of wheelchairs made by Dawood Global Foundation & LadiesFund to our hospital,” said Dr Mehnaz Khakwani, Vice-Chancellor of Multan Nishtar Hospital.

“It is an honour and privilege to participate in the roundtable, surrounded by so many talented women from diverse fields,” remarked Anam Tajjamul, ASP Multan. “As the ASP of Multan, I handle cases of murder, robbery, and various forms of harassment against women.”

Other notable members include Saima Faisal, who owns and manages Ramada Multan, and Muneeza Butt, District Women Protection Officer Multan. Sarah Danish created a stunning Multani cake for the occasion, which was enjoyed by all. She also presented the president of the organisation with a gift basket featuring her signature treats. Nighat Misbah’s Depilex served as the Beauty Partner for the event.
