 US TALK

What does success mean to you?

Success is learning from your mistakes and failures and then moving forward in life with confidence.

Something you learned early in your career which helped you become a better actor?

Never get worried about strict directors as they help you become good actors, and I was lucky to have them in the early stages of my career.

Did you get any formal education for this career? If not, then how did you learn the craft of acting?

Smart and elegant – Hira Pervaiz

No, I did not. Whatever I have learnt is a result of my personal experiences. My advice to the beginners is to observe the established actors carefully.

Who are some of your role model actors/actresses, and what do you like about their work?

Humayun Saeed is my favourite. Apart from being so versatile, he is very talented and humble.

From all your roles so far, which role was the most meaningful to you, and why?

My role in serial Kudoorat, as it was very different from my personality.

Do you believe good looks and connections are the only things that make a star?

Not really. It’s the love of people that makes you a star.

How do you deal with self-doubt?

Meditation, prayers and trusting the Almighty.

Three pieces of advice for aspiring actors.

Never give up, boost your self-esteem, and believe in yourself.
