Pakistani comedy thriller film Na Maloom Afraad has clinched the title of being the longest running film in the history of Pakistani cinema. Since the advent of new-age Pakistani cinema with independent film makers and much improved production techniques, only three movies have managed to cross a 100 days run in cinemas nationwide and Na Maloom Afraad tops the list, whipping films like Waar, O21, Khuda Kay Liye and Main Hoon Shahid Afridi.

The record, which was previously set by Bilal Lashari’s action thriller Waar with a 163 day run, has now been broken by Na Maloom Afraad.

NMA director Nabeel Qureshi enthusiastically shared the achievement on Twitter: “#namaloomafraad becomes the longest running film in pakistan! Breaking the record of #waar 163 days, congrats to the team ! Still going on.”

Released nationwide in October 2014, the film is still running in local cinemas and has grossed over PKR 12.2 crores so far.

Rough estimates show that the film is currently the third highest grossing Pakistani film of all time. Na Maloom Afraad is a tale of three struggling men who run after their individual goals and desires but are brought together by one incident that transform their life completely.

Directed by the young filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza, the film features legendary actor Javed Sheikh alongside Fahad Mustafa, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Urwa Hocane in lead roles.

Ranbir Kapoor tells mom and dad to back off?

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has allegedly warned his parents not to share details from his personal life on social media. The 32-year old Besharam actor has asked his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh to not upload or post anything related to him.

Known as an active user of social networking website Twitter, veteran actor/director Rishi Kapoor is quite fond of sharing his personal family photographs with fans and perhaps this could be one reason behind Ranbir’s request.

Recently, on the occasion of Holi, Neetu Singh created a stir when she posted a still of him and former flame Deepika Padukone from the song ‘Balam Pichkari’; also, during a house party, Neetu cropped his current significant other, Katrina Kaif, from the frame and shared the edited picture on her account, which also caused a mini-furore.

Well, Ranbir surely doesn’t want any controversy about his personal life. Since his film Bombay Velvet is hitting the cinemas on May 15, maybe he wants to ensure that the limelight stays on his film and role instead of his private life.
