At a time when cinema tickets sales have been struggling in the absence of Bollywood and the release of prominent films, it’s television that has come to the rescue of cinemas once again.
Apart from providing some of its strongest performers (Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan, Adnan Siddiqui) to cinematic projects, the hit drama series Meray Pass Tum Ho – which stars Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui – is running its finale, a double-episode in cinema halls and ticket sales have gone through the roof.
Furthermore, as SomethingHaute reported, there is also demand to screen it outside Pakistan. “We have actually been approached by several exhibitors in the US who are very keen to screen the finale,” Humayun Saeed, who is also the co-producer, told the online portal. “The only challenge is time, as any content screened in the US needs at least a week to get through their censor requirements. Our team is working on it and trying to find a solution,” he added.
The drama serial will be aired simultaneously on TV screens and across cinema halls with the cast scheduled to attend a screening in Karachi at Nueplex Cinemas.
