With a number of films scheduled to release next year, the latest to join the list is actor and director Yasir Nawaz’s upcoming thriller/murder mystery, tentatively titled Chakkar. The film will feature Mawra Hocane, who is currently appearing in drama serial Daasi, and Feroze Khan in lead roles.
Recent reports suggest that besides Mawra, Feroze, who are pairing up onscreen for the very first time, Yasir Nawaz will also play an important part in the movie; he has also written the script and has co-written the screenplay along with Zafar Imran.
According to Entertainment Pakistan, the upcoming movie is in its pre-production phase and is slated to go on floors in January 2020. The website also stated that it will be a thriller with a dose of comedy and that it will have full on commercial elements as well. The movie will also star veteran actor Jawed Sheikh and Ahmed Hassan in supporting roles.
This will be Yasir Nawaz’s fourth outing. Earlier this year Wrong No. 2, which featured Sami Khan and Neelam Munir in lead roles, released across Pakistan and did quite well at the box office.
