This Eid ul Fitr will see the release of two Pakistani films, Wajahat Rauf’s Chhalawa and Yasir Nawaz’s Wrong No 2.
The latter recently had a press meet in Karachi with the cast of the film in attendance, including Sami Khan, Neelam Muneer, Mehmood Aslam, Danish Nawaz and Ahmad Hassan as well as director-actor Yasir Nawaz and co-producer Hassan Zia.
“My focus while making Wrong No.2 was to make people laugh,” Yasir Nawaz shared, addressing the press at the event. “The film has nothing to do with the plot, screenplay or characters from Wrong No. It is just a brand. Wrong No 3 will have a completely different storyline.”
Neelam Muneer, who made her big screen debut with Chupan Chupai in 2017 and is returning to the big screen with Wrong No. 2, shared that the film also highlights the beauty of Pakistan. “I fell in love with the beauty of our country while shooting for the film; I didn’t feel like coming back from shoot,” she said, adding that there are multiple songs including a wedding number and romantic songs while there is no item song in Wrong No. 2.
Given that Wrong No 2 is releasing on Eid ul Fitr alongside Chhalawa, attendees inquired the cast about competition at the box office.
“It can be healthy competition as well; I wish both the films fare well at the box office,” Sami Khan noted while Neelam stressed that there is no competition and we support each other.
