Rahat Fateh Ali Khan collaborates with DJ Naughty Boy for ‘Bungee Jumping’

Music maestro and renowned qawwal Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is in the news once again as he has recently collaborated with international record company, Virgin Records for a song called ‘Bungee Jumping’. The song, by British-Indian DJ Naughty Boy, features Rahat Fateh Ali Khan with Emeli Sandé and precedes Naughty Boy’s new album, which is set for release next year.

With his strong range and ragas, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan provides a soulful vibe to the song.

“It was a great experience to work with Naughty Boy,” RFAK said in a recent interview. “I was impressed with the vocals of Emeli Sandé and the track has a lot of depth and I’m looking forward to the release of the track.”

According to Naughty Boy, he has always been a huge fan of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s music and says it is a dream come true for him to be able to bring this collaboration together.


The music video of the song is yet to be released however its BTS and lyrical video are available on Youtube.

In the past Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been associated with a number of international collaborations, including having a subordinate role with his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on the soundtrack of the 1995 Hollywood film, Dead Man Walking. Moreover, in 2002, the singer also worked on the soundtrack of The Four Feathers and on the soundtrack of Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto in 2006.

Apart from that, he has some remarkable Bollywood songs to his credit. As the first Pakistani musician to perform at the Nobel Prize concert in 2014, RFAK has won numerous awards, including Best International Act at the 2012 UK Asian Music Awards.
