The trailer of the air force film was launched at a star studded event in Karachi.

Karachi : This Eid ul Azha will see the release of three Pakistani films including Load Wedding, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 and Parwaaz Hai Junoon. The good news is that all of them belong to different genres. The teasers and trailers have started coming out and the latest addition to the list is that of Parwaaz Hai Junoon. The film’s trailer was recently released at a star studded event with most of the cast, a number of celebrities such as Humayun Saeed, Sajal Aly and Urwa Hocane and media representatives in attendance.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Amir, Shaz Khan, Kubra Khan, Marina Khan and Asif Raza Mir, Parwaaz Hai Junoon is an air force film that follows the story of fighter pilots. The trailer opens as Hania gets recruited in the air force academy and we see cadets training in tough situations. Then there is a wedding sequence between Shaz Khan and Kubra Khan, followed by a dance number featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi and Hania Amir. This marks the beginning of a love story between them while Ahad also develops an interest in Hania, who is the weakest link in the trailer.

While the personal lives of these cadets remain the highpoint of the trailer, it is lacking in visual effects. The shots look pretty average while the dialogues fail to make an impression.

Speaking of the cast and their screen presence, Hamza Ali Abbasi steals the show; Kubra and Shaz look good while Ahad is impressive in the little that we see of him in the trailer. Music, composed by Azaan Sami Khan, features prolific names such as Atif Aslam and Zeb Bangash, among others.

Reflecting on PHJ during an interview with Instep post trailer launch, director Haseeb Hassan shared, “This film deals with a unique theme and genre, unlike what viewers have been seeing post cinema revival. It’s not just the story of warriors but also presents the fun side of academy life, the trainings that they go through and the situations that they have to face. PHJ has comedy, romance, entertainment, patriotism and emotion, which is an interesting package. Expectations from the film are high and we hope people like it.”

“It will be a positive sign for the local film industry if all of the film releasing on Eid ul Azha fare well at the box office,” he added, speaking of the competition among the three Eid releases. “We don’t have a competition with any specific person or film.” Written by Farhat Ishtiaq, the film is all set to release worldwide on Eid-ul-Azha, this year.
